These guys are an excellent sponsor. I invested in one deal, which returned over 30% IRR and now have invested in others. They are subject matter experts & PATIENT! Unlike (most) other sponsors who do deals just do do deals (and accumulate fees), these guys wait for the right deals. This is critical. I look forward to doing more with them!

This team is great at what they do. They very clearly outline the value proposition of each deal, are responsive, and transparent as the deal progresses.

Update: Most of what I said in the review below still stands especially about transparency and reporting. However, I am in 2 deals that have not made any distributions for over a year. For one the last distribution was 5/6/2025 and another closed on June 2025 and to date not a single distribution. It is disappointing when considering the attractive debt on both of those deals. Also, that I mainly invest in syndications for the cash flow.

I invested in 1 deal with Matheson Capital, and was very pleased with the result. They were able to source an excellent opportunity off market at an attractive basis. Their plan for creating value and positioning the property for sale within 1-2 years was easy to understand. Matheson worked hard during the hold period, and successfully exited the property generating higher returns than estimated in the deal marketing materials. Most other sponsors I know of are good at telling a story, but it's uncommon for their estimated returns to be met. Matheson Capital is the exception in that they are able to find attractive opportunities and generate better returns than expected..
