At Hickory Creek Capital Partners, we help limited partners invest smarter—because you deserve more than deal access. You deserve an advocate. Our Founder, Kent Leach, has been investing in hands-on real estate for nearly 25 years. He has built relationships across nearly a dozen asset classes, which allows you to build a more diversified alternatives portfolio than you could ever have achieved alone. We work exclusively with accredited investors who want to move beyond Wall Street and into private, alternative investments—but don’t have the time, resources, or network to do it alone. We are not investment advisors. We are investors, just like you, looking for the best opportunities to grow our capital while creating cashflow. Through our flagship SMART Flex Fund, also known as a fund of funds, investors gain access to a handpicked portfolio of commercial real estate, private credit, energy, and other high-performing assets—all vetted by experienced fund managers, not salespeople. What makes us different? -We are not GPs. We sit on the same side of the table as our investors. -We invest our own capital from an LP position as well. -And we negotiate better terms through group economics—so you get access, alignment, and leverage. -Investing alongside us often nets you better returns or better access than you could have achieved alone. Here’s how we help LPs win: -We source and vet high-quality deals across multiple asset classes. -We invest alongside you through a customizable, transparent fund structure. -We create opportunities to co-invest with other sophisticated LPs, multiplying your access and reducing your risk. If you’re looking for a partner who knows what it’s like to be in your seat—and has built a fund to make it easier to invest clearly and confidently—welcome to Hickory Creek.
Hickory Creek has been the best investment decision I’ve ever made because it consistently gets me access to deals I’d never have found—or been able to evaluate—on my own. The opportunities that come through the group have expanded my reach and dramatically improved the quality of what I get to review and invest in. Kent does the heavy lifting up front, digging through numerous deals and doing the pre-investment research and due diligence to surface only the strongest ones for his investor group—including himself. It means a lot to me knowing he invests his own money alongside us in the same deals.
I've had the pleasure of working with Kent Leach at Hickory Creek Capital for about a year now, and what sets him apart is something most investors never get to see. I work with him behind the scenes as a peer fund manager. Watching how Kent operates "behind the curtain" has been incredibly telling. I've seen firsthand how he vets deals, the level of due diligence he puts into each opportunity, and how his other offerings are actually performing for investors. This perspective has given me complete confidence in how he runs his business. Kent isn't a salesman, and I mean that as the highest compliment. He's not trying to push deals or chase the latest shiny object. Instead, he focuses on bringing his investors access to unique, well-vetted opportunities they wouldn't find on their own. His approach is refreshingly straightforward and transparent. I recently invested in the Easter Light Distillery deal he brought to his investors, and it's a perfect example of the kind of interesting, alternative asset classes he consistently sources. What really stands out is that Kent is just a down-to-earth guy from the country with a good sense of humor who genuinely cares about doing right by his investors. In an industry that can sometimes feel overly polished or sales-driven, that authenticity is rare and valuable. If you're looking for someone who prioritizes transparency, does thorough due diligence, and brings unique opportunities to the table without the typical sales pressure, I highly recommend connecting with Kent and Hickory Creek Capital.
I have been doing alternative investments for quite some time with multiple sponsors, but I wish I had found Hickory Creek, which is run by Kent Leach, earlier in my journey. Kent consistently introduces a wide range of investments—from debt/credit funds and oil and gas to multifamily and private equity/small businesses—that a typical investor wouldn’t be able to access on their own. The level of due diligence is top-notch, and he consistently invests his personal capital alongside all of the limited partners, ensuring a team-oriented goal of growing long-term wealth together. All investments I currently have with Kent are meeting or exceeding their pro forma. I highly recommend looking at Hickory Creek and joining this awesome community of like-minded investors.
I have invested with this sponsor for many years, and I can honestly say it has been one of the best financial decisions I’ve made. My investments have performed well, and I’ve always felt that my money was being managed with care, skill, and integrity. This sponsor does not chase risky deals or make promises they cannot keep. Instead, they focus on solid opportunities, careful underwriting, and clear communication. I’ve always known where my investments stood and have felt respected as an investor. I trust this sponsor completely, and I would gladly invest with them again. I recommend them without hesitation.
