Bequest Asset Management

I have to agree with the other recent 1-star reviews. We invested a large sum with Bequest almost a year ago after personally negotiating the deal, including a signed side letter from the founder and managing member promising 12% returns paid monthly for two years. After almost a year, our total return is 0.6%. We have received exactly one $6,000 distribution against a promised $10,000 per month stated in a side letter the managing member signed himself. In 31 years in business, we have had to engage an attorney only a handful of times when someone would not honor their end of a deal. Unfortunately, this is one of those times. We have retained counsel. Proceed with serious caution with this fund.

I have been an investor for 4 years in the Bequest Income Fund. I have been paid my preferred dividend during that time period. I invested my preferred returns back into the income fund as additional contributions. Now it has come out that the fund never made the preferred return, and those dividend monies were the monies I was putting back into the fund. It was a Ponzi scheme. Over the last 4 years, the two-managing partner's, Martin Saenz and Shawn Muneio have repeated said the fund was performing great, making above market returns. Based on the reports received today, the fund has made around 1% annually. How could they do this to their trusting investors?

I tried to invest with the rest, but bequest is the best. This is a solid investment fund run by professional, experienced, good people with integrity and values.
