Blueline Ventures is a people-first private equity firm that buys niche, blue-collar businesses doing the essential physical work technology can't replace — at least not yet. We acquire profitable companies with $1–3M in EBITDA, 20%+ margins, and 10+ year operating histories at a purchase price of 3–5x EBITDA, and hold them for the long term.
Our thesis sits at the intersection of two structural shifts: the largest generational business transition in American history — roughly 7.7 million U.S. companies, and an estimated $10 trillion in value, expected to change hands over the next decade as baby boomer owners retire, most without a succession plan — and an economy where AI is hollowing out knowledge work while the skilled trades face a deepening labor shortage, making the durable, cash-flowing companies we buy structurally more valuable. Because the qualified buyer pool for these businesses is thin, they trade at 3–5x cash flow while the S&P trades near 20x and comparable real estate sits at far higher multiples — an entry advantage we convert into immediate cash flow and long-term value for investors.
I've had a great experience with Blueline so far. This was my first investment outside of real estate, and I was a little apprehensive, but they came highly recommended. The onboarding was very easy. I had a few calls with Kris, and they were able to translate some tricky concepts and language down to a level that I could understand which I appreciated very much. If I need anything, they are incredibly easy to reach, and the reports and investor portal make it easy to check up on progress.
