Invest Clearly recently received a formal demand letter from the Chief Executive Officer of Blake Capital Group, Ian Djuric. The firm demanded the immediate removal of a negative review posted by an investor. We have officially responded through our legal counsel to state that the review will remain on our platform unless provided with a valid court order.
Invest Clearly exists to provide a space for transparency through reviews of private real estate firms, where reviews cannot be removed through payment or threats. We will not allow legal intimidation tactics to compromise the integrity of our platform.
Every user on Invest Clearly must provide proof of their investment relationship with a sponsor prior to publishing a review. We confirm this investment relationship using commercially reasonable means supported by proprietary technology layers that help identify fraud. This process is intentionally designed to protect sponsors and investors from inauthentic feedback from individuals who have not invested.
Because of this rigorous verification process, Invest Clearly does not remove real investor reviews without a direct court order.
In the case of this review of Blake Capital, our CEO, Pat Zingarella, personally moderated the review and verification documents in question.
We are making all documentation related to this matter public and have established a shared drive containing the original demand letter from Blake Capital Group, the official response from our legal counsel, and any future correspondence.
There is no room for defamation on Invest Clearly.
However, if this legal action proves to be an attempt to use intimidation and threats to silence an investor and suppress their right to free speech, Invest Clearly will exhaust all resources to ensure the public is aware.
We invite investors, general partners, and industry journalists to read the materials and follow the proceedings.
