Morgan and I have been close friends and co-investors for 10+ years. From what started as bare minumum $25k allocations has grown to Ocean Ridge managing hundreds of thousands of dollars of my capital across many real estate and alternative asset deals. As a SoCal-based founder, I have a business to run and need someone who has a pulse on the market and can critically evaluate and share opportunities that fit my goals. Morgan is not only a high-integrity and competent sponsor, but someone I consider to be a trusted advisor who has my best interests at heart. Some projects I've invested in have worked out incredibly well, like the Cleveland portfolio, where Ocean Ridge more than doubled my capital and exited years earlier than they had promised. Several of their other projects have had excellent exits, but what I really respect is how the team responds when things have been more challenging. They show up at properties, manage teams and co-sponsors directly, and relentlessly protect capital. I've gotten excess money back long after some properties have sold and investors have been paid, which I believe is a sign of integrity. This approach has built a lot of trust for me over the years, and I've referred countless other investors to Ocean Ridge. I will continue to invest with them myself on future deals.
