TJ from Burns Capital is not like other fund manager. He has very unique ways to handle the due diligence and his investor communications. I invested in his income fund II where he raises capital for the operator who lends funds to the short term real estate projects. I did not talk with TJ until after I reviewed everything he had prepared, from high level summary of the investment to the performance matrix, to the flow of the distribution and the background check of the operations, etc. He also prepared a comparison chart to compare the pro and cons for two of his income fund where he outlines the differences and who should invest in each. I would say for anyone who can perform this detailed level of research and preparation inside and out, it's already helping the investors to make a quick decision. I didn't have to talk with him to be honest to make the decision because everything is there for me to review. TJ actually has quite some investors coming to him after noticing how much work he had already done and can share with the investors. TJ is sharp in thinking, super transparent, detail oriented and adaptive to the changes. He runs everything with efficiency in mind, his distribution is well explained ahead of time with no surprises. He looks at every step and challenges the status quo for any possible improvement. He can answer all questions I have indicating he had gone through the process as an investor and can speak to the opportunity with confidence. I appreciate TJ's thoroughness, reads investor's minds and serious about what he promises and can deliver on time. For anyone who's looking to partner with TJ, you won't regret it.
