EquityMultiple operates as a real estate crowdfunding platform and fund allocator, connecting accredited investors with institutional-grade commercial projects. I have made two investments through their platform: one in an industrial development and another in a self-storage facility during its lease-up phase. Both projects have experienced delays due to slower-than-projected lease-up timelines. Because distributions are contingent on achieving sufficient operating income, they have not yet materialized, yet. However, both assets are making progress toward stabilization, and the current projections still indicate a profitable exit for both deals. The platform provides a high level of transparency, delivering quarterly one-page summary reports for each project that cover the essential performance metrics. An advantage of using the EquityMultiple platform is the user-friendly dashboard, which makes it simple to manage and track your investments in a single location. They also offer an extensive library of educational materials for new investors. I chose to invest here because of the platform’s initial due diligence process and the fact that they commit their own capital to pre-fund every deal. I would consider investing with EquityMultiple again if the right opportunity arises.
