A Decade of Trust Before Writing My First Check
Over the years, I've come to deeply respect Mike's judgement, integrity and approach to investing. He takes the responsibility of managing other people's capital seriously, and that has always stood out to me. I have known Mike for 15+ years, and watched him develop professionally over the last decade. I have seen how he operates, and now, I have invested in three Standifer Capital Deals. What keeps me coming back is their investment strategy: a disciplined focus on affordable housing that seeks to generate attractive returns while addressing a genuine market need—a niche many sponsors overlook. For anyone evaluating Standifer Capital, I'd encourage you to look at both the individual deals and Mike. His experience, judgement, and commitment to doing right by his investors are what give me confidence in the firm.
Three deals since 2021 and I’d invest again tomorrow
I got into Standifer’s first deal in 2021, before they had a track record. I’m now in three of their deals, and all three have done well. Each time I’ve decided to invest again, it’s been an easy call. Communication is what sets them apart for me. I’ve invested with other sponsors where it takes days to get a reply and updates are vague. With Mike and his team, I get a quick, straight answer whenever I reach out. Updates come regularly and tell me what’s actually happening with the asset. K-1s show up on time. I’ve never had to wonder where my money stands. They’ve also stayed consistent. They’ve grown a lot since that first deal, but the experience is the same as it was in 2021. I get the same responsiveness and the same attention now that I did as a new investor writing a smaller check. If you’re looking for a sponsor you can trust with your capital, I’d put Standifer at the top of the list.
Great strategy, strong operations and high character
Nothing but good things to say. Their strategy is good, the team operates well, and their fee structure is reasonable. Communication and reporting is thorough and they are always available to answer any questions. Would recommend them as sponsors and plan to invest additional capital with them in the future.
Strong Performance & Communication
Standifer Capital has been one of my favorite multifamily GPs. I’m currently invested in four of their investments and have been very pleased with the performance, communication, investor reporting, and, most importantly, the Standifer team’s ability to navigate and perform well in a challenging multifamily market. I also consider their in-house property management platform a significant advantage in their performance. This is one GP I can say has been a pleasure to be an LP with since Day 1. I’ve been very impressed and look forward to continuing to invest with them.
